About Mel Boucher
I’m Mel, a pet photographer based on the border of Nottingham and Derby. I specialise in relaxed, heartfelt images of horses and dogs. I’ve been behind the camera since 2012 and have worked professionally for the past three years, focusing first on horse photography and now expanding into dog studio and outdoor dog photography.
Whether I’m in the studio with a nervous new pup or out in a field with a beloved horse, my sessions are relaxed and unhurried. I’ll gently guide you so you feel comfortable, then step back to capture real moments – soft noses, muddy paws, and all the little details that mean the most to you.
My goal is to create a collection of images that feel like you and your animals: honest, relaxed, and full of personality. Photographs that become keepsakes you’ll treasure for years, not just pictures for today.
